A mysterious festival poster featuring a diving body press—only in Heda!
It’s cute and chaotic at the same time. Looks like someone’s about to faceplant on the cobblestones… and Ponko the mascot isn’t safe either!
Once you pass through the bright yellow gate, the excitement kicks in.
Welcome to the Heda Fireworks Festival on the Sea.

2:30 PM — Let the Mochi Toss Begin!
Confident? Maybe. Humble? Always.
There’s a saying:
“If you fight for it, there’s never enough. But if you share, there’s plenty.”
Even amidst the competitive vibe, you can feel the kindness in the air. What a great town.
Ocean Breeze & Festival Spirit

Heda Port sits right on the water.
The salty sea breeze practically dives into your nostrils—invigorating and nostalgic.

The seaside stalls and open skies create an irresistible combo.
It’s… very Goo! (That’s “good” with extra enthusiasm.)
As the sun sets, a chilled beer glistens like it’s up to something.
This is the start of one crazy night.
Must-Try: Shirasu Pizza (¥600/slice)【about USD】

A real-deal pizza stand serving local specialty—shirasu (baby sardine) pizza!

Pair it with a cold beer and let the sea wind carry your worries away.
It’s the kind of moment that makes you wish this place never gets too popular…
VIP Views for Just ¥500【about .30 USD】

No long lines here. I casually got a ticket for a fishing boat cruise to view the fireworks.
Only 500 yen?
The possibilities of a single coin… are endless.
(Actually, they should probably charge more.)
Set Sail with Style

Drums echo as fishing boats dressed in red and white parade out of the harbor.
They dash across the waves with bold energy and booming taiko beats.

Even the Sumida River cruises don’t go this fast!
Fireworks Reflected on the Water – My Life’s No.1 Show

The launch site is so close, the reflections on the water are perfectly crisp.
The upside-down fireworks were the best I’ve ever seen.
Never underestimate the power of a local festival.
But… part of me wants to keep this a secret.
That’s how special this fishing boat fireworks experience was.
